Carburettors, throttle bodies and fuel injectors slowly gum up with varnish, carbon and dirt, and multi-cylinder bikes drift out of balance between cylinders. We strip and clean the carburettors or throttle bodies, service the fuel injectors, then synchronise every cylinder with computerised gauges with the engine at operating temperature. The result is a smooth idle, crisp throttle response and better fuel mileage.

Synchronisation is only needed on bikes with two or more carburettors or throttle bodies. Single-cylinder bikes still benefit from a carb or throttle body clean and injector service.
On a bike with two or more carburettors or throttle bodies, each cylinder needs to pull the same amount of air. Synchronisation balances them using computerised vacuum gauges, so the engine idles smoothly and responds evenly.
There is no single interval. Most riders do it when they notice a rough idle or vibration, after a valve clearance job, or after the throttle bodies or carbs have been removed for other work.
A throttle body clean and sync is usually done the same day. A full multi-carburettor rebuild can take longer, depending on parts. We will tell you when you book.
